CARLOS PEREZ DEL TORO MORESCHI 

 

His practice focuses on Mexican Federal and State taxes and the analysis of cross border transactions. As an accomplished lawyer, Carlos has advised national and international companies and individuals in tax structuring, consulting and negotiation. His contributions to corporate restructures, tax rulings, transfer pricing, and estate planning had been greatly recognized by his clients. He has also participates in tax litigation. 

 

Perez del Toro serves several clientsin acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, corporate restructures and corporate law. 

 

He has more than 20 years of legal practice successfully advising clients in other legal fields including real estate projects, commercial aviation, entertainment, health and commercial arbitration. 

 

Carlos is a founder of V5. Prior to creating V5, he was previously a partner at prestigious law firms located in Mexico City. In 2004, Perez del Toro participated in the foreign associate program offered by Cleary Gottlieb in New York obtaining a well-founded reputation as a lawyer.

Carlos Perez del Toro studied law at Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) submitting a dissertation named: “Tax Problems of the International e-commerce”.

He holds an LL.M in Taxation degree from Georgetown University Law School (2003). He also studied a Law master’s in taxation at Universidad Panamericana in 2002.

CHRISTIAN BASURTO ROSAS

 

Concentrates his practice in Administrative and Regulatory Law including Foreign Trade and Health.

 

 

Throughout his career, Christian has advised multinational firms using legal instruments in strategic consulting and maximizing business opportunities to benefit clients.

 

Moreover, Basurto is the General Manager of a Third Party that assists the sanitary control of the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS).  Additionally,Christian has an active experience participating in congresses in the health sector both in Mexico and abroad.

 

As a lawyer, Christian has been a distinguished associate guiding prominent clients in firms such as Basham, Ringe & Correa firm in the foreign trade and taxation area. Besides, he was the Head of a Custom Broker Agency, leading the agency satisfactorily. Later, he became a founding partner of Campos, Pérez del Toro & Basurto Firm in 2010, currently “V5 Consultores, S.C.”

 

Christian graduated from Law School at Universidad Anahuac, where he was the President of the Student Society of the Faculty of Law.  He also obtained a Master’s in public administration and coursed several postgraduate studies at the Escuela Libre de Derecho and other institutions.

 
He has written and published several articles in specialized law journals and is an active member of the Inter-American Bar Association and of the Mexican Institute of Foreign Trade Executives IMECE.

EDGAR ALFONSO HERRERA HUIDOBRO 

 

Huidobroparticipates in the audit and advisory practice on accounting and tax matters at V5. He has advised private and public sector companies for more than 20 years. In the private sector, Edgar has primarily developed his professional practice counselling companies in the commercial and service industries. In the public sector, he advises public entities, States and Municipalities.

 

Edgar has a vast experience advising his clients in strategic tax structuring, as well as in accounting and business consulting. Also, he is very knowledgeable in corporate transactions including acquisitions, sales of companies, handling assets of natural persons, requests for authorization or regime confirmation, transfer pricing, management audits in the field of federal and local taxes and charges from social security, work with authorities for checking powers and authorities exercised to taxpayers. Likewise, Edgar is an expert on tax and accounting.

 

He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and a Statutory Auditor of several national and multinational companies of various commercial activities. 

 

Edgar graduated from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (National Polytechnic Institute). He also coursed postgraduate studies in the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (National Autonomous University of Mexico) in taxes.

JOSÉ JUAN DELGADO RUIZ  

 

José has been a partner of the firm since 2017.  

 

He obtained a law degree from Universidad Olmeca (Olmeca University) in Villahermosa, Tabasco. He studied postgraduate studies in Commercial law, Mexican Financial System Law and Tax Law at the Universidad Panamericana, where he has participated as a professor in the Master of Tax law.   He concentrates his practice in federal, state and municipal tax consultancy and litigation, including amparo against tax laws and conclusive rulings before the Taxpayer's Defense Attorney's Office.

José Juan participated as an associate in the areas of Corporate and Tax Law for Pérez Chow & Asociados firm and as an associate in the Tax Area of Basham, Ringe & Correa. Later, he served as the General Counsel of Grupo JB.

JESÚS OSWALDO ALCÁZAR ROSALES

 

Jesús joined the firm as a partner since 2018. 

He holds a law degree from the Universidad Panamericana and continued his education by becoming a specialist in Tax law at the same university. His experience in the private sector has focused on agribusiness projects, legally speaking, and on development of value chains, obtaining concessions, permits or authorizations from federal, state or municipal authorities. He has served as a General Counsel in transnational companies in the food and beverages industry. Jesús is also well-versed in the branches of Administrative and Labor Law.

 

Alcázar has been a Legal Advisor in the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development of the State of Durango, specifically to encourage the agribusiness in the State.

LEONARDO MONTÉS ORTIZ

 

Leonardo is an attorney who focuses his practice on the defense of copyright, industrial property offences, as well as on crimes of a financial nature.

 

He has guide and participated in the defense of legal entities and natural persons, accused or linked to high-net worth cases, plagiarism and illegal exploitation of works protected by the Federal Copyright Law, violation to the Stock Market Law and to fraud.

 

His law experience includes advising national and foreign clients in corporate restructuring, mergers, spin-offs, acquisitions, planning and bankruptcy development to avoid criminal liability to members and officers of the companies involved in such activities.

 

Leonardo was entrusted to advise Mexicana de Aviación Management in the conciliation process of the insolvency proceedings. Prior to joining V5, Leonardo was an associated at Ysita and González Olguín, S.C., and became an expert in the area of Foreign Trade at Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa & Cía, S.C. firm 

 

Leonardo graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and obtained a law degree by submitting a dissertation regarding the unconstitutionality of various sanctions applied in the detention and rehabilitation centres.

 

Currently he studies a specialization course in Tax Crime at the Escuela Libre de Derecho (ELD)

MAURICIO MENDOZA MARTÍN

 

Mauricio is a lawyer graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, México (2003). He studied the Law Institutions Seminar on the European Union at Free University of Brussels, Belgium (2001). Besides, Mauricio coursed the Translation Workshop on legal texts at Escuela Libre de Derecho (2002). He takes pride to be an expert in Commercial Arbitration by Escuela Libre de Derecho (2008). Mauricio is a member of SELIDER-COPARMEX, a Program on Socially Responsible Formation Leaders, First Generation in Mexico (2006).

 

Professionally speaking, Mauricio served as a lawyer at Basham Ringe & Correa firm  (2000- 2002). He was also part of Asesoría Ejecutiva en Comercio Internacional, S.C. (2002-2003)  and worked at Rubio Villegas & Asociados, S.C. (2003-2009). He has participated in the federal public administration, as a head of the civil litigation area in Luz y Fuerza del Centro (2009). He was also a founding partner of the firm Jimenez & Mendoza lawyers, S. C.

MARIANA GALLEGOS GARCÍA CONDE

 

Lawyer specialized in corporate and administrative law, and with a wide experience as a Foreign Trade consultant; in addition, she has specialized in the application of the Maquiladora and Manufacturing and Export Industry Program (IMMEX), as well as consulting and implementation of Corporate Governance strategies (FCPA and Anti-Corruption Law).

 

In her work experience, she has been a lawyer for important professional firms, among which are Deloitte, Del Valle Gurría, SC, and KPMG, where she served national and international clients, focusing her professional practice in the areas of tax litigation, trade and consultancy, where she represented clients from the industrial, services and commercial sectors, before the Federal Court of Fiscal and Administrative Justice and the Federal Courts.
